As you already know, there are numerous fields in dentistry. Orthodontics and Endodontics are two amongst them. There are certain basic differences between these two fields. First of all, Orthodontics deals with the outer appearance and structural modulation of the tooth while Endodontics deals with the inner portions such as the pulp of the tooth. So they are basically two different things which hardly have anything in common.

Orthodontics is rather easy and it can be performed by any qualified emergency dentist. The major applications used in Orthodontics are the Braces, Veneers and the Aligners. By the application of Orthodontics an uneven or a broken tooth can be fixed. Stained teeth can be whitened by various processes. Missing teeth can be replaced with the help of ceramic fillings which look just like a normal tooth. Ceramic fillings can be replaced by porcelain veneers if the patient wishes.

Unlike Orthodontics, Endodontics is very hard to perform and it must be performed by a qualified dentist. Usually emergency dentists do not perform these operations as they are highly serious. If a tooth is decayed from the inside, it becomes very difficult to get rid of that. The decayed tooth spreads the bacteria to the neighboring teeth and it can be potentially harmful. In that case a root canal treatment is carried out.
